That's because the bank limits the amount of EMTs they could process in one day. So far what has stood true is the time someone submitted relating to if they are sent an email for waiting list.
Hmmmm....you think maybe there's a reason for that?
Really, the Area 2 Desert Classic filled up in 4 minutes and they had a SNAFU as Practice Score didn't/couldn't shut down quick enough and they had to tell people that thought they were in the match that they were on the wait list. I know of more then a few USPSA clubs having the same problem with matches filling up with in 5 minutes of opening and members #####ing about it. Area 1 in past years has only allowed Area 1 members to register for the match for the first 2 weeks before throwing the match open to everyone else.

Here is a quote from the first page of this thread.

My app and EMT were in 10 plus hours before this, it would be nice to hear from the MD....
I would double check and see if he meant 7am March 1st.
Well.. This definitely wouldn't happen if it were an outlaw match

So I am curious....did you make it into the match? If so, what time did you submit your application, or are you match staff, or part of one of the Provincial teams
I am in the match, I worked all year volunteering and shooting matches to earn a slot on a team.
