Me too
Rough crowd in here. I don't always agree with reviews but appreciate them none the less. It just gives another perspective and something to keep in mind.
Reviews are great, except when a Ford dealer reviews a Dodge, we have to question credibility.![]()
Nightforce is the toughest out of all of them , they have a thicker body (thicker scope tube)I have an FN SPR A5M with 20' barrel in 308, and I am shopping for a good quality, reliable, all around scope. I narrowed down my choices to Nightforce, Schmidt and Bender, US Optics, and Vortex. Now I know that some of you will say "take down Vortex from the line of my choice as it is not comparable to the other three", but I have also heard people say great things about Vortex and for their warranty.
I am a bit flexible on the budget, but I rather not go beyond $3000 (tax not included). I am looking for a keeper that I plan to keep for a long time, and I thought buy once cry once for a great quality optic.
My purpose is for long and shorter distance sniping, and for zombie out break LMAO
Also, which type of reticles that would you recommend and why?

The Vortex is 49oz - so is it even more robust??

Aside from its intended hunting use, I like the idea of it as a bear defence tool. Scope on 2.5x and five rounds in the mag, only because I'd never use a 10rd pistol mag in a rifle. That would just be wrong.
