Yeah, I think I will pass on the battlefield worn look if possible.
Yeah you're right. I just like something about that look, but I like pretty finish better
Yeah, I think I will pass on the battlefield worn look if possible.
Lol! I'm not trying to do that - I am just genuinely excited. I hope these turn out well.
I have been waiting a while for these, and now the finish line is in sight!
I really want to do a "battlefield" pickup worn look to one, but I am hesitant. What do you think? also fixed or folder?
lol seen the movie "Deadpool" recently ?? HA
You could just drag it behind the pickup to give it that battlefield look or do you mean do some carving and scratch it to give the trench art feel.
I'd use pakitape and ornate tacks.
I prefer a worn army look, not Khyber Pass lol
Does it accept stripper clips?
If not, then that's a point against it IMHO because I know how fast 5 rounds of x39 goes. Then having to repeatedly reload mags.....ugghhh.
Type 74 light machine gun
The Type 74 light machine gun is a gas operated, magazine fed, air cooled weapon, which fires from an open bolt. The gas system is located above the non-removable barrel, and consists of a gas block with a four-position gas regulator, a gas piston tube and a gas piston. Locking of the barrel is achieved by the laterally tilting bolt, apparently copied from the Soviet SGM machine gun. The cocking handle and ejection port are located on the right side of the stamped steel receiver, and fitted with separate dust covers.
The feed is from magazines; the standard magazine is a 100-round drum. Alternatively, Type 56 assault rifle (Kalashnikov AK) 30-round magazines can be used.
The Type 74 LMG is normally fitted with a non-detachable folding bipod mounted below the front sight base on the barrel. The pistol grip and handguard are made from plastic while the buttstock is made from wood.
Mag changes are faster than fumbling around with stripper clips.
I don't like detach mags, unless I have 20 of them pre loaded . Which I don't, and won't with this gun.
Hopefully there's a magazine speed loader available for the Type 81, be it a stripper clip guide mag attachment or a horizontal push feeder.
If you're handy you could make one of the latter yourself.
And on top of that, let's face it, this is a blaster gun. So you'll be running through rounds fast. It's not a long range gun where you take time between shots. It's off to the races, like the SKS.
I can load an SKS with clips faster than and detach mags.
So unless you're only shooting 20-40 rounds, reloading this rifle gets to be a PITA IMHO. Very cool looking gun though.
