Eotech Refund

Got my first cheque today. For a 512... they approved my claim for 675 canadian. .. and sent me 482 American Which is approximately 625 can. So 50 short and no $15 for shipping. A little disappointing but still way more than I could have ever got on ee.

I got my cheque today too.

I didn't get the $15 for shipping either. (or at least not by my calculations)

And it seems the exchange rate must have been further apart when they calculated the exchange than it is today, because I'm about $35 light (I don't really blame Eotech for the exchange rate).

*I was approved for $565CAD + $15USD and I got $409USD.

Got my cheque today too. USD$480.04 for a 512 approved for return at CAD$669. Like you guys, I was hoping for a bit more but can be satisfied with turning a nice profit on a second hand optic bought on the EE.

Anyone assessed brokerage fees whey shipping optic back? I received a remittance notice from FedEx for $35 after shipping a 512. Was always under the impression that RMA's were exempt from duty?

Just remember, the cheque expires after 90 days.

RBC happily took mine yesterday (I have their no-fee USD savings account). The teller asked me questions about if knew what the source of the money was, apparently related to some sort of fraud scheme of a logic that I could not follow. I explained that it was a refund from a voluntary product recall, and left it at that.

That's interesting, brought mine to RBC, regular account and they didn't even put a hold on it. Made me extra happy, new Aimpoint T2 on the way

Yeah, there was no hold for me either. I just put it in to my USD savings account so as to not pay for conversion.
