Love this thread. Keeps my wallet empty that's for sure.
Let's talk fh556rc, or surefire 4 prong flash hider...
People over at ar15.com discussed this a little while ago, there is this .cough. Airsoft . Cough. Company called HAO that makes a copy of the fh556rc in the correct 5/8x28 thread and they are only 73$. Seems to me that since we dont have the right to use supressors this could be an option? It is made of steel and is an exact replica i don't see why this couldnt work. Any toughts?
Pic of my rifle as of today, i have to admit that the extra 0.2" of my barrel is bugging me since i got the ris II.
Also the PRO is just a placeholder until i make up my mind on a clone correct optic

Airsoft parts are not heat treated to my knowledge. Especially a flash hider. Not sure I would want to put that on the tippy tip of my SBR....
Unknown metal too. may just be cast crap. 1/2 x28 are the correct threads. 5/8x28 is AR10
Airsoft parts are usually cast using cheap pot metal. Might turn your muzzle device into shrapnel?
This. Putting airsoft crap on real firearms is bad enough, please do NOT put any kind of cheap airsoft muzzle device on a rifle. If you have enough money to shoot in this country you have that $75 more for the real part that won't turn into a fragmentation grenade and injure yourself and/or other people at the range.
Does anyone know where to get CQD sling mounts, other than the Chinese knock offs from ebay? I can't even get on their website anymore, just get a black screen. Thanks.
