Just wanted to get some input on what people think of this model as a trunk Gun. Any input would appreciated as I do not want to spend a lot of money for something that will see limited use during it's life.

I can't believe Al Flaherty's is now selling them as cheap as $250. Just crazy! The same gun branded as a Grizzly is $100 more. The only real difference is the Grizzly guns don;t have "made in china" stamped on them (they are chinese made though).

They are a good 870 clone, at least as nice as an express, but the stocks are awful and you should change them ASAP else the gun weighs a ton un-necessarily.

Right ^^^ The factory stock set is low tier on looks and are heavy , but durable.

Caveat with the 14" model is a +1 extension would be needed for a flush look, if that matters to you . Most don't care though.
The low seated bead sight on a short barrel is also less desirable. So a change to that would be another expense if so inclined.

Ahhh Jeebus, now I have to talk myself out of another gun! That is really cheap.

Not trying to hijack thread, I know nothing about these, but am now very interested. Keep the feedback rolling!

Saw an S&J extension any other suggestion's?

Any suggestion's for a better stock?

I recommend Remington Express laminate wood or old Wingmaster or police wood.

For synthetic I like the Magpul and Hogue sets.

S&J follower for sure.

I don't do big button safeties or side saddles on my guns though.

What's the best place around Toronto to get Hogue stocks?

A couple things to mention here. The bead on the 14" isn't too bad. Shoots to POA with buckshot and only a touch high with slugs. I like the hogue forend both for its grippiness but also its shape. I find it quite comfortable. The short LOP stock is not for everyone. Some shooters like it and some hate it. I tried so many different positions, mounts and holds but nothing was comfortable behind that stock. Normally a high mount on the shoulder reduces or eliminates cheek slap with a shotgun but the short hogue still felt like a jab from a boxer everytime I pulled the trigger. The Magpul SGA fit me infinitely better. Few stocks have ever fit and worked that well for me. No cheek slap no matter how I held it, recoil was managed very well. The hogues are one of the lightest options and I believe the Magpul is around the same weight as a factory synthetic stock. Not the Chinese stock, that thing is a heavy beast. Test the gun good before you toss it in the trunk. Every manufacturer puts out lemons, the Chinese shotguns are certainly no exception. Overall I really liked my 14" Norinco. Other than a shell stop that was improperly staked and fell out and needing to be bent to feed reliably without slamming the action open, it was good. Once I fixed that it fed, fired and ejected everything I stuffed in its hole.

FWIW, Hogue also makes a normal 14" LOP stock. That's what I use on my shorty. Frankly, I don't wear body amor, I don't breech doors, and don't need a 12" LOP stock.

The latest from the "folks who know" is to move the shotgun in to the center line of the body, and out of the shoulder pocket to better handle recoil - a 12 inch stock makes that possible.

LOL. Whatever.

I'll continue to shoot the same way sane people have since the Chinese invented gun powder close to 1000 years ago. YMMV.

Do the "folks who know" not care whether or not they hit anything? Sounds like the group that was shooting at our local spot the other day, buddies roomate found more unbroken clays than he could carry. I don't think they hit a damn thing haha. Good way to waste cheap shells and time I geuss.
