thanks
edit: I got those IMI beowolf mags - they fit TERRIBLY. They barely fit in. I have gen-1 style alloy beowolf mags that fit fine and drop free, which makes me think it's gen 1 or nothing for type 97s.
I hope someone reads this and doesn't have to waste the same money I did.
Public Service Announcement!
Step 1: Polish the feed ramp on your Type 97. Look up how to do it online if you don’t know how. Basically polish the feed ramp smooth. (Just polish don’t file anything down!)
Step 2: Apply bluing to newly polished feed ramp.
Step3: Go shooting and have no FTFs!
Just did the above. Went shooting today, 300 rounds down range and no issues. . . This fixed the common bullet pushed in the case issues I was having.
I had feed ramps ground down on mine and works perfect.
Where did you get that done?
Wolverine G&T in Red Deer, AB. Any place that offers gunsmithing services should be able to hook you up.
maybe polishing feed ramp is the way to go but this is an absolutely poor design by northsylva. They totally ruined the 5.8mm action

Has anybody tried the SRC Gun Works mag releases yet? They look pretty functional but would appreciate some hands on feedback.
