Best AR's in Canada?

There's some sound logic, look at the big players who purchase Colt Canada Rifles, Great Britain for example. Do you think that the SAS/SBS/Pathfinders were handed the C-8 and told to make do?

Those unimpressed with the C-7, do you really think that a KAC/LMT/DD/etc. would fair any better if put in the hands of the average Infantryman for 5-10 years? If so can you please share some of your supply, I could use a short vacation from reality.

Again, if they were that good far more people would own them and they wouldn't be in stock all the time everywhere. I didnt say they were bad guns however. But I woudlnt buy them just because they are made in Canada.

If you just looked at the Black Rifle crowd on this web site you'd realize the respect for these rifles is universal...and believe me no one pulls any punches here. To state they can't be that great because they were in stock when you checked is about the most stupid thing I've heard all week (and I talk to myself often, so I hear lots of stupid ####).

I wouldent go so far as saying they "are in stock all the time everywhere". Can find the sa20 if you shop around, the sa15.7 seems to be long gone/unavailable.

The Ar15 crowd here is minute compared to the ar15 crowd in the U.S. There are far more people who know about ar15's in the U.S than in Canada. If the CC were that great they would be talking about them as well. But they really dont. Ive been apart of a few forums in the U.S for a while now and have never heard them mention CC rifles. IF they were that good why arent they talked about there?

A few reasons for that. Colt was having bankruptcy issues and that stopped production for a while. A fwe places in Canada i emailed and they said they arent stockng CC anymore because of that problem even if it was fixed. Yet you can still find CC rifles sa20 in stock in numerous places. That means not many people are buying them. Such great rifles yet not many people are buying them but they are buying others? Weird.

If I was to buy an AR15 with my own money right now, it would be a toss up between KAC, DD, and Noveske.

There are lots of other top shelf brands out there, HK, LMT, CC, etc, just depends what you are looking for in terms of features, weight, and stock options.

I made no comment on their quality, which I can't as I don't own one. Do you? Also, Whether they are in stock or not is not necessarily solely connected to their quality either. By that logic you could say ruger 10/22's aren't of good quality or popular because they are in stock all the time and everywhere.

Likely because colt canada rifles cannot be imported to the USA.....well according to Larry Vikers anyway.

So far so good...your logic is bordering on bullet proof. I just want to make sure I understood what you were inferring. Am I to understand that because this is a Canadian site we don't know much about the platform?

The part you want to hear starts at 2:20...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHZ0rpfTWeM&nohtml5=False

Far too many people talk about AR's instead of actually shooting them. If you can't hit sh!t and clear ftf's and fte's in a timely fashion, KAC, HK and the Magpul triangle thingy are not going to help you. The end.

No you need to read what I wrote instead. I didnt say people on these forums dont know. What i said was there are far more people that know in the U.S than in Canada. If you disagree with that then that says it all. Again, I didnt say CC are bad guns... And Vickers didnt say they are good guns either. Infact he didnt say many flattering things about it like he usualy does in his reviews. He just said hey are rare to shoot in the u.s. Im just curious as to why you think CC guns are usually in stock here in numerous places yet others are not?

there are some pretty damn good shooters here buddy, and a lot of folks commenting on this thread do comps.

I don't know...maybe because they haven't sold them all since the last shipment. If this is the crux of your argument I really don't know what to say, other than a gun stores current stock is a pretty poor way to judge a rifle.

The point of the vid is that they can't get them, so why would they "talk" about them.

Being one of them, good point indeed sir!

There sure are and my comment was not meant for them. It was meant to point out that as long as you buy something decent and capable, you have the tool needed to succeed in an SR match. Skill and experience is more important than brand A over brand B.

They would talk about them because they are amazing rifles supposedly.... And we aren't talking about one gun shops inventory. We are talking about gun shops all over Canada for the past year or more. I just don't see many people with CC guns but i see them with other brands most of the time. I dont even think this would be an argument if the gun was named something else and not built in Canada. I am excited to see the reviews on the new MRR guns from CC though.

PWS (Primary Weapon System) is one of the best if you are looking quality and reliability piston AR15

Maybe I got a lemon but I wasn't really impressed with its accuracy and front heavy ergo 's. It's was the 12.5" model when they first came out from questar, I no longer own that one.

I agree 100%. Seems like a waste when some dude drops 3k on an ar and does nothing but shoot t from a bench a couple times a year, but hey that's just my opinion.
