It's a loosing battle keeping a firearm in like-new condition. Anyway, IMHO, a work gun should like a work gun, kinda like a work truck

Bluing reacts with the iron in steel, aluminum is non ferrous. Birchwood Casey sells Aluminum Black but I've never had anything but crappy results. It leaves a flat black residue like carbon from a match, it wipes right off. Careful masking and some krylon flat black is usually what I use for small touch ups.
I've use the Birchwood Casey Aluma Black and it works great.
Me too, however it is hard to obtain now in Canada.
Ordered it from the USofA.
