Hi everyone

Anyone have any experience with wartak ammo?
I picked up two bricks of 200rds at our local gun show for $70 each, price was good.

Shot it for the first time yesterday at the range out of my JR carbine, everything seemed good, no FTF or FTE, seemed to group well, then I had a FTF ejected and another FTF, upon inspection I noticed I had a broken brass stuck in the barrel.
Maybe I should elaborate here, the casing was sheered off like I had cut it with a pipe cutter, only about 1/4" to 3/8" of casing stuck in there.

No matter what I did, I just couldn't get to it, to get it out, so back home and remove the barrel, came out very easy, did a quick clean, and the gun wasn't very dirty at all.

So of course I am questioning the rifle as this was my first time shooting it and my first time shooting the ammo.
Gun seems to function well, but only time will tell, I figured I would come here and see if anyone else has had experience with the ammo.

This is the 124gr remanufactured brass ammo, not the steel cased - as an FYI

Thanks
Randy

1500 rounds of it through a brand new cz shadows and zero problems,i currently am only going to run this ammo through this cz becouse a guy at the range told me his cz would jam up every second round on it.
maybe im lucky,maybe your unlucky

It sounds like you may have got a weak piece of brass that broke and got stuck in the chamber, once you get it out it may be ok, but if it happens again you may have some poor brass that was reloaded.

Thanks for the replies, my hope is it was a one off, bad brass, wanted to see everyones experience.
If I get alot of people saying it's a common experience, I know to keep an eye on it, and probably never buy again.

I've shot 200 flawless rounds. It groups fine. The thing I liked the best was how clean the pistol was after the range. This ammo is a breeze to clean up after

I didn't know much about the brand when I purchased it but the price was quite reasonable so I purchased 500 rounds. My G17 had no problem running it and the Thureon ate about 150 rounds without an issue. I would purchase again.

I've put well over a thousand rounds of Wartak 9mm through my Beretta 92 and CX-4 without any issues.
Plus, my local dealer (S'toon Gunworks) sells it for a lot less than the OP paid at the gun show.
What's not to like?

Seems to depend on the firearm. We've run it through some other, more tolerant firearms, and it seems to run well, if dirty. However, through my PPX, doesn't like it at all. A bit wide, some jams, and then some round and casing separations.

I purchased six bricks of 9mm. I now have three left.

Every 40-50 shots I get a squib. I have stopped using it.

Happened in my JR Carbine and in a Girsan 92 clone.

My wife has shot 400 rounds (two bricks) through her PPX, not a single issue with hers.
