Best bang for buck starter ar?

When Norc ARs first hit the market, you couldn't get a US made AR for sub $1k, hell, a Colt M4 was at least $2,500, so a lot of folks got into a Norc as a starter AR, myself included.

My current preference is Colt Canada, but it's not exactly a starter AR.

If I could have gotten into a Canadian or US made AR for around $700, I would have because the Chinese QC just wasn't there, lol!

That being said, my Norc never failed me functionally and shot as well as my US Colt M4.

It's USD 682

It exactly the same as 6920 except forward assist and dust cover.

from Irunguns

This link would come out to a total of $914 CDN after tax. You have to pay shipping from Alberta to your house.

You hear good things about this. Many people in the u.S think this is the best bang for your buck

The PSA will cost you $866 CDN after t ax. You have to pay shipping from Alberta to your home.

And as the other guy in this thread said the Colt m4 Expanse which will cost you $878 CDN afte tax. You just pay shipping.

Make surey ou look at what sights they come with. Some Ar's do not come with any sights and you have to buy them seperately adding over a hundred dollars to your gun.

so these work out to a little over a grand CAD after duty, tax, shipping and exchange rate. Not bad at all.

Nice. Wish these and IRG were around when I first got started, lol!

So after duty, tax, shipping and exchange, just over 1k, not bad.

Mike from Canmore (actually Mike with Bike) is thinking of selling his bike (meant ARs); gouge him for a good deal.

Serious note best bang is buying the safe queen off EE but Caveat Emptor. Few jewels amongst the junk.

So I can buy a 14" hand guard and put it on any ar? Even one with a front site post attached to the Barrel? Or then do I have to buy more stuff?

Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport, hands down best bang for your buck starter AR-15. I'd say Daniel Defence is a great choice but not as a starter AR-15.

lol, i know the value of my stuff, if it goes on sale, it'll be fair to both the buyer and seller.

you need:
1 remove front sight gas block
2 obtain quality new low profile gas block and gas tube pin
3 mount new low profile gas block and pin
4 obtain quality free float hanguard
5 correctly mount free float handguard
6 mount optics or sights
7 go shoot
8 enjoy happiness

note: this will most likely not be easy with norincos due to much hardship in performing 1 & 5 and will result in much lower 8
