I bought a Marlin XT-22 with a hardwood stock back in December, but sent it away for warranty replacement because the pre-drilled scope mount holes and dovetails were horribly off-centre. Took forever for Remington to send new ones to the agency handling their warranties in Canada, and when they finally did come in today, all four of them had the same problem.
So now my options are:
Trying to decide between waiting who knows how long for another shipment to come in (apparently Remington isn't making them right now); taking one with lower value (only $10, but still) and not as nice-looking but chambered for the cartridge I want; or one with higher value and the look I wanted, but chambered for a much more expensive cartridge.
So now my options are:
- Wait for another shipment of them and hope one is good.
- Take one with a synthetic stock instead.
- Take one with a hardwood stock in .22 WMR instead of .22 LR.
