There's a .260 Tikka Sporter calling my name on the EE........
I've owned two of them and love the cartridge, kills deer better than it should, mild recoil and dare I say inherently accurate.

You & Hoytcanon are only serving to hurt my feelings with your dialogue. I
'need' more than a .22, an '06 and a 12ga.
, all of my decisions surrounding firearms purchases have to come from a strictly practical standpoint these days. I cannot afford to have money tied up in guns that don't see a lot of use. And I cannot afford to buy ammunition that is more costly than what I can get off the shelf at the local Home Hardware. And even that I have to ration. One day I'll get back to accumulating the things on the "need" list. But I'm afraid it won't be anytime soon. Do me a favor and get that Big Horn Armory '89 soon though would ya? You definitely "need" it. And I need to live vicariously through someone. You & Hoytcanon are only serving to hurt my feelings with your dialogue. I

Johnn, I have a "heck of alot" more than a ".22, an '06 and a 12 ga."
When you get to the point when all you are doing is "managing" your collection, to the point where of all of the available options, into the triple digits, you don't have a single rifle set-up and ready to go, because you have swapped scopes and rings between the existing crew and the new members and haven't had time for a range trip since all the changes... well, it's time to stop the madness... pare it back to a manageable, more relaxing set, that actually gets shot.
Just twisting your tail a little guys and the only reason I made mention of those three Greg is it seems to be the very basics in the eyes of some. My mouth waters when I view photos of some of what you have. My 'assortment' is nowhere near that but rather than thinning out what I do have, I have drawn the line. After the purchase of the 375 CT from Super Cub and the Ruger RSI from you, there is one more coming from Why not?, then with that,Just twisting your tail a little guys and the only reason I made mention of those three Greg is it seems to be the very basics in the eyes of some. the pattern is full for me.

For a hunting rifle all of those cals. would be fine. I certainly wouldn't base my decision on it if Lapua made brass for it or not. For a hunting rifle Lapua brass is a waste of money. Interesting read on Lapua brass here.

I have made a few very nice acquisitions over the past few months and sold off a few really nice ones too... I have one more that I want to fill a permanent berth... after that one or two will occasionally come and go to keep it interesting, but the core group will remain. I will be listing half a dozen beauties soon. I have been shooting a lot more since I sold off the bulk of the collection... rather than spending all of my time at my bench working on rifles and swapping scopes...

Soundssomewhat similar to the plans of my 'holding pattern'
. And, I'll see if I can give that RSI a 'workout' on island Blacktail this fall.
No one answered my WTB on 260 Coyote or TRG. No point adding DTA Desert Tech SRS A-1 to the list.
I'd do a coyote.
The DTA is a nice concept because of the swappable barrels. You can put these me 4000$ scope on your 6.5 and .338 (if you ever wanted a boomer).
6.5 and 338LM is exactly the plan. Did a rough price est. on DTA, PGW and TRGs with one $4k scope for DTA, two for others.
- DTA $13k
- PGW $19.6k (Coyote and TimberWolf)
- TRG $17.6k
Expect majority of shots will be 6.5. 338LM is really to fill the void, doubt I'll shoot it much so $2.5k for the conversion kit is tolerable.
DTA is lighter with weight further back than traditional but yeah bullpups will take some retraining. Thankfully my experience is limited so not much to lose.
Yeah, I dreaming of only $4k for S&B or TT; maybe used.
