Hi Guys

Looking at the Mossberg MVP LC in 5.56. Not much on line in way of reviews. Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

l've been trying to find reviews on it aswell.
Great package price with the scope.
Most reviews say its above average out of the box for accuracy.
From what i've read...you really need to use higher grain bullets with the 1-7 barrel twist, especially over 100yrd.

Fivesacks Yes it is a good deal with the scope, but i would hate to jump in with both feet only to wish i had gone down the RPR in 243 or Rem 700 Tac in 233 road........decisions decisions!!!!

Geez, they look decent to me. But if they are north of 1500, wouldn't you be better off with a Ruger Precision rifle?

Sgt Rock - yeah was thinking the same thing. I think a RPR in 243 or a Rem Tac 700 in 223 has got my name on it.

I was in the same boat as you were, hemming and hawing over the mossberg.

I went and spoke with a very helpful gentleman at Cabelas in the north end, spoke for 45 mins at the gun counter with him.

He said that they are a great package put of the box for the price. He said they were quite accurate as well. He also said that the return rate on them was 50% or so, due to a plastic piece on the bottom cracking.

I walked out with a Savage model 11 Predator in 223. Haven't looked back.

Helpful gentlemen at cabelas

Lol

Gotta stop ya there can't take you seriously anymore

I have an MVP Patrol in 308, I would be building one up rather than buying the LC, that's for sure. OP Some hate mossy, some love mossy ... the MVP action is budget, but accurate, they can make nice fast handling rifles, there are also better options for your money. It all depends on what you're looking to do.

rl4930 Are they really that bad?

Yes,
Money can be spent much wiser on other things. If you read a positive review on a mossberg, make sure the person writing the review is comparing it against something half decent, or has the experience to do so. A good Remington or Savage would be money much better spent. On that note, I haven't seen too many groups that make me want to go out and buy the ruger rpr either.

A lot of guns will group better than most think, you just need good ammo and the skill. Lots of blow harts online, and off.

MVP Flex with 18.5" barrel
Paired with MDT LSS, first one had to much slop in the magwell, free return and MDT cross shipped me a redesigned one with tighter tolerances in the magwell.

3/4 MOA when I'm cheating off the leadsled, still sub MOA when prone in the grass with bi pod.

I bought it late 2014 from Irunguns, 594$ USD. Prices have gone up since, exchange rate sucks now and it was before the Ruger Precision was available.
No regrets, love to shoot it.
