Hi Guys
Waited for a long bunch of months for my new Ruger#1 in 257 Weatherby, she came from the factory with a 28 inch barrel, and I have been loading for a bit now,
Found the most accurate load for 100GR swift Scirrocco11 bullets with 75 gr of IMR7828
No marks, no loose primer pockets, but cronographing at 3750fps
This seams really bloody fast
Started at 70gr and worked up from there, groups with this gun are terrible till you hit max loads.
3-4 inch groups
but at 75gr less than one inch.
I wanted a good tough bullet and one with a good BC
Anyone else seeing numbers like this with there 257?
Thanks Lee
