Them's bikes good for folk who are 5'9" and less, otherwise they are too small for the rest.People say the same thing about Harley Sportster 1200's. Of course it's not true.

When I bought my BLR I was between .243 and 7-08. I opted for .243 because ammo is almost half the price and it's easier to find. Whether or not it was a "girl's" or "kids" caliber never occurred to me. Ballistically it's enough for any game you'd hunt around these parts with a centerfire rifle.
Ammo development has come so far in the past 20 years it's baffling to me why people still bother shooting recoil monsters the way they do. You don't need to shoot 3 1/2 inch rounds at turkeys and you don't need to shoot 125lbs whitetails with a 30-06 or 300 win mag. You're also a lot more likely to develop into a good shot with a round that doesn't put a beating on you.
125 pounds is a small whitetail.......
Can you imagine this cartridge if it was named 7MM08 Magnum? This thread would not be created.
Well, an average buck weighs about 150lbs, and average doe about 100.
I know everyone likes to tell the tale of the 250 pounder they put down with a 900 yard shot, but the reality is that's hardly a common occurrence.

Just don't show a 7RM owner the chronograph between the -08 and the RM .
Not that far apart.

Yep!
The 7mm-08 is only about 200fps slower than a 7mmRM using similar weight bullets.
Get into heavy bullets and thats not true
