That's a nice classic Cat...... I have my first #1 on the way and looking forward to a similar hunt...... I even have the same jacket.... Lol

mine was a hand me down as well..... I always had one growing up as a kid in appropriate size...... Dad used to call them our "lumber jackets" because they were always worn in the woods collecting wood for the winter.......

My favorite lever gun/calibre combo, a Winchester model 71 Deluxe in 348WCF. Two issues that may hamper that a little. I have a cataract problem to be 'delt' with late this fall. But more of an issue locallyLooks like a Fudd gathering.![]()
Still have the hat as well, the one in the Moose photo with Dad. It started back with me when I first started big game hunting with Dad and I still use it on special occasions.
An artifact from the 'pre metric' era
.
It's hard to call a 50+ year old cartridge a "new age" magnum............I think it has proven it's worth and is well on it's way to becoming a true classic...........
Funny you should mention that... 404 Jeffery has been tweeking my interest lately.
More interested in the truck in the background Kevan...... I love that vintage of Ford trucks and that one appears to be in great shape......
Psssst, it's a Dodge.![]()
