"Tactical" Clothing Line - We need your input

Very interested.
Would like to see some type of organizer in the cargo pockets, ie pockets in pockets.
Reinforced pocket corners.
Pen/ knife specific pockets. Flash light pocket. Discreet if not in use so no flap.
And no velcro closure for the back pockets.
Maybe have the drings moved so they are above a pocket so the attached keys can be tucked in.
I'd buy a few pairs.

Re-reading your original questions, shirts and belts would be fun as well. The "Operator" polo shirts short and long sleeve would be nice. And if there's any way you could do the Condor style "Combat Shirt" in different patterns (say, oh CADPAT ;) ) I know a few people who would purchase a few of those.

But definitely the Operator Polo's with the pen pockets, in the standard colours would be nice ^.^b

Pants:
at $30 the features people wants might be a bit low, $50 is probably a more realistic price point.
-gusseted crotch and knees.
-standard business casual solid colours would be nice.
-"J" shaped front pockets with reinforced cuff to stand up against the pocket knife clip.
-low profile cargo pockets with a knife of flashlight pocket on the inside without the flaps or couple of those long pockets just behind the seams like the one you see on carpenter's pants,
-wide belt loops and big waist button attached to the pants with strips instead or threads.
-natural fabric materials like cotton or wool, so it doesn't melt when it is expose to heat.
-a winter version with fleece lining, it is Canada after all.

Shirts
-COLDBLACK fabric polo shirts or some other type of UV reflective material so you can still wear dark colours in the summer.

Jackets
- weather resistant anorak pullovers with shoulder pockets and long enough to cover your ass, so you can sit down any where without getting wet.

If you make 30$ pants that are my size and are practical, I won't care that much about the number of pockets, whether they shut with velcro or buttons, wheter the material is some kind of ripstop or completely natural, but I have 3 complete and total showstoppers, which will decide if I buy 10 or 0 pairs:
1-flat colors;
2-black and pale beige (LAPG calls that color khaki, columbia sportswear calls it Fossil);
3-Not too big/obvious a brand tag.

Here's my reasonning, feel free to agree or not, but it does decides where my dollars go:
1-I'll never, ever wear camo pants (or any clothing) other than on a battlefield, a military exercise, or if playing paintball or something like that. Even for a CQB match or when doing renos, it would be only a distant possibility. I'll wear camo if it gives me a tactical advantage over my ennemy (and when I say ennemy, it doesn't have to be a taliban, it can be my best friend if he's on the other team during a paintball game). No way I'd wear them, even for a second, when I'm in a city (I think explaining why would probably offend some people on this forum, and it is far from my intentions, so I'll keep these reasons to myself). So flat colors it is for me.

2-Black is an obvious choice of colors for clothing. I don't even see how any company makes clothes and avoid black. No matter which color anyone would want, you can always default to black. It's like the no-brainer of colors. Khaki/Fossil is not as much a no-brainer, but it's a big seller for every company, no matter what you're talking about: pants, hats, shirts, name it, that color sells. One of the reason it sells so well is that it can replace white without being so easy to get dirty when you want a light color. With only these 2 colors, a company would reach more than 90%+ of the sales it would do with an almost infinite choice of color. The reason is simple: if the color a potential customer would prefer isn't available, he'll usually go for black, but not the other way around. You'll hear quite often "I'd prefer OD, but since there isn't any, I'll take black". You pretty much never hear the opposite. It's more like "No black? Ok, I'll come back when your new stock arrives" or "No black in this model? What else you got in stock?".

3-When I'm out there in the real world, I don't want to look like I'm sponsorized by some company (unless I am). If anyone wants me to wear their logo on my clothes, you gonna have to pay me for that opportunity. Wheter it's LAPG, columbia sportswear, Nike or McDonald's, I'm not your spokesperson. Since I'm paying for the clothes, and not the other way around, I get to not make publicty for whoever makes the clothes. In this regard, the LAPG Operator Tactical Pants are borderline with their bright blue logo on the pants. If you want to put such a tag on the pants (I would prefer not), make sure it can be removed without having to sew half the pants afterward.

Those are my 2¢.

As above, I will literally buy 6 pairs for $30 a piece regardless of velcro vs. buttons, flap on rear pocket or open, d-ring or not, etc. I bought many pairs of the LAPG pants, and would much rather support a Canadian vendor. I'm sure you will have them in khaki, black and maybe a brown or forest green, so just looking forward to these coming on the market at this point!

I actually do use the D-Ring for my scooter keys.
Navy Blue, OD Green, Black, Tan, Khaki.
Reinforced seat and knees would be nice.
Slight taper down at the ankle cuff but not too much.
Sturdy Rip Stop material.
Velcro wears out but would last longer and be more secure with a button as well.
The day I wear elastic waist pants I will consider life over and probably an adult diaper is next.
Some people might like the elastic option.
2 inch wide belt loops.
Reinforced pocket top for knife clip.
Yes good zippers and quicker dry material is a good suggestion doc25!

Gortex?

If you make a style of pants that are discreet (no big cargo pockets), durable, and with man-sized legs (no skinny pants), I will be in for multiple pairs.

Id take OD, charcoal, and sierra type colors for sure. These look decent for $30 area

I'm interested. Don't think i would be into an elastic waist most of us will have range belts and EDC belts anyway. I like pockets to be minimal and tucked away if they are there. I'd like them to fit an athletic build as well. Big no go's for me are way too many huge pockets that you will never use and huge baggy legs. Multicam as well as the standard flat colors would be nice, I'd like a wolf gray as well. I wouldn't use D rings. That's all I can think of at the moment look forward to seeing them.

I'm interested in seeing how this works out. What material are they? a cotton blend with some stretch is good.

please keep them light for layering. thin for summer, easy to throw long Johns on underneath for fall/winter.
