hey guys. Not sure if this is the right spot for this post but I hope so.
Anywho, I just bought a NIB Nornico 1911A1 it was completely covered in thick oil. the trigger pull and length seemed good. not much play at all. So I tore it completely apart to get that thick oil off of it and reassembled, everything went pretty well except for some complications getting the main spring in position (lol was my first time so took a little while and some patience). But now it seems like the trigger extends further into the guard then it originally did. I can see the rivet/weld marks which I'm almost positive I couldn't see before and there is a lot more vertical and horizontal play.
Could I have possible put my main spring out of wack or could the oil have really been keeping it tighter? any suggestions would be appreciated. half-#### and full-#### work and the safety's work, it dry fires fine so I would assume I put it back together properly.
Thanks!
