Coincidentally my stihl is the only 270 I will ever own.....![]()
Until my teens, "I" was the "brush buster." Dad was too cheap to get a dog... he said, "that's why I had kids..."
Oh come on now, don't be like Douglas and hate on use 270
Meh..... Don't hate on guys that use them...... It's just my character...... I tend to develop a distain for anything the masses call "the greatest" or "the only rifle you need, will kill anything in region x"....... It's why I will never own a .375 Ruger......
As for the kidlets...... My oldest just turned 12...... I am not against having the young guys doing dog duty, but they should at least be able to carry a rifle and get their own opportunities while doing so..... Working on it as I am 41 and still doing dog duty..... Lol
So does liking the 270 win make you a sheeple? Or is that reserved for those who hold it in disdain?
I can never figure that out.
Either way, I miss my 35 rem. Was a fn1900 and given my fascination and enjoyment of the old auto 5, I sometimes miss that gun. And then I remember I sold it for good money and bought a 3030 with it.
Still have 3 boxes of shells sitting in the basement for the next 35.
How to s'plain H/S?
Riding yore motorcycle down the highway at 'undritt miles an our.
Bug hits yer fore head.
Fruck that smarts.
Ohkay, now yer dewn the same silly speed and a rawk the size oh yer
fist hits yer fore'edd.
Gonna nawk yewse out.
I agree that there are different rounds that do stuff better than 35 Rem, I just like 35 Rem haha. It's new to me and I think it's cool.
Nope Hydrostatic Shock is best explained by pointing your 22 lr down at a group of minows and plunking a round into them ( muzzle above the water newbies ). Got some floating now, stunned. Take a big old 50 cal round PL ball and use your slingshot into a group of minows, none floating.
And IIRC it's not 'Hydrostatic shock'; static referring to ' At rest '.
Youse would be looking for 'Hydrodynamic shock' perhaps?
But Hydrostatic shock is most definitely NOT the correct phrase. Sorta like unthawed; " Really you unthawed the stock waterer ?"
Think about it for a moment.
But not directed at Kamloopy. He's OK
Was asking you specifically, other then range what wouldn't a 220gr bullet with muzzle velocity around 2100-220fps kill under 150 yards?
