tye do our may be hard to find though..... These are pretty much the quintessential shot once a year rifle.....

There must be a Rem pump with a barrel that is damaged, bent, rusted, or victim of neglect somewhere. There has to have been a few fired with ice, snow, mud, wasps nest, or whatever in the barrel.

$200 and you get your name engraved as part of the project! ;) Already have a barrel with an excellent bore just waiting to be fitted.

I'll have to ponder that one a bit Ted, as I've got a .458 mag. due in tomorrow. Lovely thought though.:)
After reducing some of my collection a bit, I'll be seriously looking into just that conversion. My LGS gets
used 760's in from time to time, so I'll keep me eyes peeled for one.:cool:
 
Okay, one more try.

Someone, somewhere, has a Rem pump with a trashed barrel: blown up, or bent, bulged or rusted, doesn't matter. It may be in a closet, under a bench, or languishing in a pile of junk because it won't shoot well at all.

Or, perhaps it's cheap because it has been abused, beat up and down, no bluing left, dents in the stock, scratches and dings on the metal d:h:, but is a fully functional rifle.
