Hey guys, question regarding barrel options.
With having more options to choose from I started putting together an 18" SPR type build but now I'm on to barrels and I'm having a hard time choosing what's the best course.
Background, I'm no precision shooter, I'm not looking for hair splitting accuracy but I want something that I can shoot minute of badguy out to 5-600M.
I was set on the Rainier Arms 18" ultra match SPR barrel which rang in at 480.00 + shipping but someone pointed out getting a custom barrel by ATRS done up, and the price isn't much more at about 550.00 which I can pick up locally.
Anyone with more knowledge than me, would I notice any significance between the two barrels? Would it just be a better buy to spend an extra 70 bucks and get the custom one made up or would it be better spent on something else for the gun?
For what it's worth, I do plan on cutting my teeth with reloading for this gun and will probably tailor a load simalir to the mk262 load & the SMK 77gr.
