best rings for the CZ 527?

I went through 3 sets of rings and 2 scopes before I found a good combination that fit me correctly.
Kinny Picatinny Rail and some Rings I had on hand, I went with the rail because of the length of the scope ended up with the same height as the Warne mounts. My 527 is in 223 the barrel is thinner making it look higher in my pic.

These rifles look great, but I usually prefer scopes a few mils off the barrel. This stuff is all way too high for my liking.

I'd love to own a 527 in x39 though.

I have less than 1/4" barrel clearance with the Warne rings. If the scope were lower there would be a problem with bolt handle clearance, even though my rifle is one of the newer ones with the updated bolt handle.

PS. The scope looks higher than it really is, the 527 is a little rifle.

I managed to get a Swarovski Z5 52mm about the thickness of a piece of paper off the barrel on my 527, but I had to remove some serious metal from the bolt handle. A 40mm objective will never hug the barrel on a 527.

Warne doesn't make low rings for the cz527. You need to get a new low profile bolt handle and choose a scope that doesn't have a huge power change ring/eye piece. Warne mediums (the lowest warne makes) with a fairly large power change ring/eye piece (Burris) clears my new handle by 3/16 - 1/4". Lynx brand makes the lowest mounts I found (0.355") and I can run a leupold compact without issues.

Double G, do you think a fixed FX 6X36 Leupold would work with the Lynx low rings? My lefty rifle has the new bolt handle. The regular CZ rings are far too high.

Edit: changed scope model to correct one.

I can't say, I don't have the 6x36mm. I know that the eye pieces vary considerably from brand to brand, model to model.

I've been trolling this morning and found this old post. What type of stock is this? Also, how can I tell if I have a modified bolt on my 527?

I used Leopold rings medium-sized (I think) and a vortex 2-7 on my CZ527 7.62x39. With this setup and the irons still in place it makes it not possible to fully put on a scope cope cap. A hood is required instead. Bolt clearance is fine.

Previously known as (and restricted for US export as a result) as the Boyd's Tacticool. Now renamed (and as a result OK for US export) as the Boyd's Pro Varmint.
This is the old style vs new style bolt handle:

The rings look high on these rifles but with the stock design they actually fit well and come up to the eye nicely.
Don't put a big heavy scope on a 527, the action is mini and the rifle is light.
I got over the scope gap, it just looks strange in pictures but functions well.

I currently have Leupold med rings on mine. Bolt clearance is just right and thanks for the pictures, I have the newer bolt. I'm just not a fan of those leupold rings, They only have one screw holding each one on. I'm ok with the objective/barrel clearance.

The rings are .5" tall from the bottom of the scope tube to top of dovetail. Are there any rail/ring combos that will give this sort of height? My bolt is so close to my ocular I wouldn't want to go down any more so the warne med. rings are out, maybe I should just accept going a touch higher with the warne high rings?
