Find a old cooey model 84 in .410. That's the best grouse gun you can get.
7 pages of this and we are shooting grouse in the preflight mode?
Myself, I prefer to shoot them in flight with a nice bird gun, but it is beneath me to condemn others, on which ever method of legal harvest they so choose. Will worry here about poaching & exceeding limits, etc.
my 2 bits only

Are you insinuating we have criminal intent?
That isn't what he means at all.
I know her well enough that she won't view a single shot as an option.
I'm leaning towards a pump in either a 20 or a 410.
For those that know is a 410 viable for 20 yard grouse shots?
Nothing sporting about ground swatting and it shouldn't be legal.
Cabela's had one for sale 699 they are not super uncommon. Light weight, bit more shot than a 410. They make a 20 gauge which is an alright gun for the same price.
Come to my neck of the woods pal, you'll find it sporting when you end up chasing two of them 300 yards through tag alder and hazel brush you can barely see through! Plus there is way less wasted meat when you peel there heads off with a shotgun instead of blasting it out of the air with a wide choke.
Sorry for feeding the troll![]()
Would love to come to your neck of the woods fella.
How far can a Woodcock run 400 yards?
Going to Have to order up a wide choke before the trip!
Bought Sinsinati 20 gauge pump
All good on my end
