I believe Brad pointed out the trs-25 has a selective reticle....4 if I'm thinking of the right model 2moa, 5moa, cross and circle with a dot in the center. You can also select reticle colour red or green and 5 intensity levels in each colour. Green is for use in low light like turkey hunting off the roost in the woods. The red is for brighter lighting conditions. I found that even on a bright sunny day even at it highest intensity I had trouble seeing the dot. But I have trouble with red on brown colour wise. One thing to note with red dot style sights. You have to constantly be aware of lighting conditions. The reticle intensity has to go up and down with the conditions. Or, if you have it on low in bright sun you can't find the reticle...and if too bright in low light it will blow your night vision when you look into and out of the scope. I retired mine for a regular low powered scope, to much of a PITA to monkey with.
There is something to be said for KISS (keep it simple stupid) at least that Has been my experience
