What are you chasing in a NR Black gun??

Once my partnership in a successful company matures when we get bought out I am retiring south of the border(Tucson) for 6 months a year. Takes away all of the above problems. Can also have a CCW down there and just look like a local. I will do my hunting up here though except for pigs.

Arizone has constitutional carry, but just in case I would get a non resident NH ccw permit if I were you. Thats what I did.

Pennsylvania and Michigan deer hunting is outstanding.

Sounds Like you're describing a DPMS Recon G2.

That's my vote for a NR black rifle.

An ATRS Modern Hunter fits into that criteria easily as it's closer to 8lbs. sans optics/ammo. and is NR today.

I do agree though when Canada changes AR's to NR, plus barrel length restrictions too while were at it (gotta think positive) the DPMS Recon G2 really will do it all and well...

Im a glass half empty kind of guy, So I believe it will only get worse from here and the NR AR dream isn't happening in our lifetimes.

FFS they just banned 30 round .22 mags, its just gonna get worse.

I hear you loud and clear DILLIGAF, but if we all believe there's no hope then there truly is none and that's just want they want.

Thankfully there are glass always half full types like myself and I will never quit fighting for common sense firearms rules and regulations no matter how dire our Country looks regarding it's political climate regarding firearms...

Also regarding the .22 mag. situation I believe that will be reversed too (has it even legally been adapted?) as we have proven over the past couple of years we can make a difference if we stand united.

its a beautiful pig, look at him go! hey Im in a good mood today.

I laugh but I also have my mk12 and 1 spare noveske spr 18.5 inch barrel in case it actually does happen

Yes I remember you saying that about keeping the longer barrel which is an optimistic and positive move that will hopefully play out to be a really smart one and yes it's a beautiful pig.

hey we're building a factory in kelowna so might be spending some time your way in the next year, any good places to shoot?

I am a member of a smaller range Summerland Sportsman association, which is a basic in the country range with a 100Yd & 200Yd. rifle ranges and a shorter handgun range.

There's lots of available crown land for shooting although it's not that easy to find longer distances (+500Yds.) like in the prairies.

There is also a couple places I've only heard rumours of, but they might be worth looking into as there was talk of a 1,000Yd. range becoming available outside of the southern Kelowna area and another range between Vernon and Kamloops that was supposed to be a good one.

I'll endeavour to find out more for your visit, but I'm sure there will be some options for you to enjoy.

Cheers D
