No Hoyt, that for some reason, is how they like to photo them, not sure why, my guess is that it shows the greatest amount of ivory. The shot was square between the eyes and 6" up, perfect frontal brain before he turned us into furry guava jelly, which we could tell he was about to attempt. Shot at 21 mtrs!!
Yikes... nicely done... elephant hunting takes serious cahonas...
They are the only animal on the planet that still scare me even with a suitable rifle in my hands. They are without a doubt the most aggressive, obnoxious animal I have ever hunted, they make grizzlies look like warm fuzzy teddy bears, when comparing personalities.
SB.............Hippos aren't twice my height and not near as aggressive, they are also much easier to hurt and make them think twice about biting one in half. Lions after dark are also very scary critters, not so in the daylight, but they morph into devils after darkness falls.
An hippos mostly laze around in the rivers waiting to get brain shot. Jumbo might just take a notion to murder you, even if you're not hunting him. I feel privileged to belong to the "I Ran Away From Elephants That Were Chasing Me" club.

Lol...... I am a member of the ran away from skunk, groundhog, fisher and rabid looking fox club....... I can only imagine elephant....
Steven Rinella talks about different kinds of fun. There are things that are fun when you're doing them, like partying at the bar or riding a roller coaster. then there are things that are fun afterwards, like goat hunting or being chased by elephants.
Being chased by elephants is AWESOME!!![/QUOTE]
Providing one lives to relive said experience............
