Who's heading out tomorrow for the goose opener? What are you taking? It's going to be a hot night tonight. I am taking my 12 GA Super Nova with 3" T shot shells.

I might go out Friday morning, there hasn't been too much action across my spots just yet but there will be at the end of the month. Headin out with my good old Ithica 12g.

I can't hunt when it's 30 Celsius...... Just doesn't get me in the mood......

Not many honkers flying here yet..... And I checked the lake near my place where I hunt and almost nothing rafting in the morning.....

I had plans to be on the lake for the opener, but unfortunately a greater power had different plans for me today that saw me spend the night in a hospital bed. I did spend the past weekend scouting the lake I hunt and I have the geese patterned well enough to know that when the doctors say I can leave this sh!thole, I'm heading straight to the lake. Pericarditis my @ss...i have no time for that. Its goose season for crying out loud

Holy balls is was hot out there, I ended up laying beside my layout instead of in it. Lots more flying then I thought there would be but nothing in range. Hopefully tomorrow morning will be a different story.

I drank about half a gallon of water in the first 90 mins. I don't think I have ever hunted in more humid conditions.

Well enough to be out for day two....from hospital bed to duck blind....one bird down so far

I killed 2 yesterday and 2 tonight. I'm lucky to live on a farm with a huge pond close by, in the morning and in the evening they fly right over my property going to and from the pond. Killed all 4 with my trusty single shot 20 gauge with #4's! Honestly never used it before for geese but I recently sold my 12 gauge and haven't bought its replacement yet. Looking for a Remington SP-10 10 gauge or basically any camo 3 1/2" 12 gauge, preferably a Remington. (So if you know someone who has one for sale shoot me a PM).

Went out yesterday morning with the dog. Didn't toss any decoys out, didn't hear or see birds anyhow. Farm ponds are all down 2 ft or more on account of the no rain we've had this year. Corn will likely be staying on longer this year too.

I went out this morning. No action at all. I did see a lot of ducks though. So maybe they will hang around for the 24th. I did get to test a new pull over jacket. A Drake Waterfowl Equader 2 tone pullover. It is designed for the early season when it is still warm. It worked great. I am very happy with it. I will head back out tomorrow morning.
