#### makes an awesome super shorty. Sells with a pistol grip stock. But a normal pistol grip can be installed very easily. Of course this makes it restricted.
#### products are top shelf!!! It's based on an 870 express and their barrels are second to non in my books.
I'm fairly certain the Shorty would be NR with a full stock, but who knows with this gov't?
The way Super Shorties are constructed may prohibit them for export - assuming if the US State Dept. would even approve the export to begin with.
Surbu uses manufactured barrels and then cuts them down to length to build the Super Shorty. This is perfectly legal in the US but such an activity prevents it from being imported into Canada because it is deemed a prohibited device. If Surbu were to use barrels that were manufactured at a short length then this would meet compliance under Canadian law.
There is no prohibition for exportation of these type of firearms just a bit more red tape, ask me how i know !
Serbu is a manufacturer or remanufacturer, and there is already FRTs entries for these shotguns, they are fully legal in Canada and restricted in the original configuration.
Anyway, lets wait for Wanstall answer.
.
Thanks. I'm aware of your shorth shotguns. They are beauties.
My comments didn't indicate that they were illegal for import because of US law. An item may be pefectly legal for export but a license to export can be denied based on whatever "policy" is being followed.
My comments were regarding inadmisabiity based on Canadian law. If the Surbu is supplied with manufactured to length barrels then it is perfectly admissable to Canada. Cut down a manufactured barrel under18" for the use on the Surbu, it then becomes a prohibited firearm.
Surbu has openly said he cuts down existing barrels to keep his costs down for the US market. I suspect he makes changes in the manufacturing process to make them Importable under Canadian law.
Are you implying that it's perfectly legal to import "re-manufactured" barrels by simply cutting and re-stamping it? If that's correct, I was not aware of it being acceptable under Canadian law.

Very interesting - would be pretty cool to have as a safe queen. Dont really have a use for a restricted shotgun but would be cool too add to the collection regardless
Perhaps with a full stock these could be NR?
Also, maybe someone here can explain why these are restricted and Mare's Legs aren't...
i saw these on hickok45's channel and thought it was pretty cool
