Looking for help from Glock shooters that reload 9mm.

I am trying to figure out how to properly remove the Glock smile / bulge from 9mm spent cases.

Reloader is a Hornady Lock N Load and using Hornady decapping / resizing die, Hornady powder measure with PTX die, Hornady Bullet feeder die, Hornady Bullet seating die, and Lee factory Crimp die.

For some reason the Glock smile/bulge, while a lot less noticeable is still there after reloading.

Can anyone advise as to the best way to get rid of it completely?

Do I just adjust the sizing die down a little further on the press, or do I need to invest in a Lee Glock bulge busting type setup (hope not).

This never seemed to be a problem when I used the Lee decapping / resizing die so I am not sure if I am adjusting the Hornady die incorrectly.

During an IPSC match on Saturday I had several FTF due to the smile/ bulge.

Any guidance is truly appreciated.

Perhaps re-read the instructions which recommends that the die touch the shell plate on the upstroke. One of you solutions implies that you have not done so. If you have then a little "cam-over" may help it.

I thought the "Glock bulge" only was with the older 40s.

Are you sure that your resizing die is set up properly? It should touch the shell plate when it comes down. Anything less and it's not fully resizing the pistol case.

This says to me that you don't have it set up properly. Yes, adjust it down.

My g17 doesn't bulge average loads... I have seen very few bulges on hotter loads (and very faint). My Lee sizing die takes care of it no problem. Just run it down so it touches the shell plate
