Loaned out my JM stamped 1895GS to a buddy. He wanted a good backup/bear gun. So OK. Well he let it get wet and put it away in a case for basically the whole hunt. RUST! AND SMALL PITS! AARGH. But it's stainless he says, stainless doesn't rust. Well yes if it isn't looked after it does. So couple of things:

I used 00 steel wool and oil to treat the spots. It looks way better. Can this be fixed? See the pics.
I have 'Remlin' SBL that I really like....so I was considering selling this one. How much has this affected my sell price? The wood and everything is still near mint just the blemishes in the photoes.
