ACR -VS- COLT DIEMACO -VS- COLT MMR - Whats your choice?

Mine has been running damn near flawlessly since I bought it. Somewhere between 600-800 rounds.

That is kind of the problem though, bad ones are out there and yours doesn't seem to be perfect, just "dam near" . I know a number of people with ACR's including myself and none have had any issues like those I experienced with the xcr.

The other thing to mention is the barrel retention method, it makes having your own caliber conversions made a losing proposition/not worthwhile. If all you want is a 223 then you have a lot of options, but the big bore options available from the aftermarket for the ACR allow you to take full advantage of the platform for big game hunting in canada

I have the ACR in NR and in 7.62x39 and 450 Bushmaster.

Where did you get 7.62x39 ACR? Custom re-barrel and, I guess, it takes 7.62x39 AR bolt?

BTW, the only NR ACR i could find is at Dlask. Arms East is selling barrels, but that's another $400 on top of restricted ACR price. Plus NR registration hassles.

Accuracy is the biggest factor along with cheap(ish) ammo in .223.
Obviously getting the AR15's will save me a minimum of 1000$ not accounting for sales so i'm basically here debating IF the ACR provided even the slightest advantage over the AR's im looking at, and also the best choice between diemaco and mmr.

I prefer range shooting so restricted is a non issue, but I also enjoy NR freedom.

AR is better handling, better balanced and more accurate. If the AR was non restricted as it should be, this discussion would be non existent.

What Epoxy said and if accuracy is what's important the MRR should/will be more accurate then a SA model due to the free floated barrel...

If it is to be between the SA, MRR and ACR and accuracy is key it's an easy decision, go MRR and save some serious coin over a NR ACR.

You've stated NR isn't a particular need.

Also the MRR will be lighter and handle better then an ACR.

Herron Arms does the conversion and the bolt is a custom one sold by a us company Herron can source for you.

I know what they cost new, but there is a distinct advantage the ACR currently holds caliber wise over all other NR platforms of the same type

The DMR version on the MRR is by far the most accurate out of the guns OP mentioned. It is built specifically for accuracy.

There you go get the DMR MRR (should be good for .5 MOA if you do your part) and grab a shorty MRR upper at some point too and have all you'll ever need in one sweet set-up...

As said already multiple times, no R on the AR, and there would be only a boutique market for these other rifles. I went through almost every NR Black rifle we can get in Canada...now I have only a lowly Bushmaster AR, 10.5" barrel...better then all the rest for a third of the money. If you don't care about NR and are happy at the range (or don't have access to land outside a range) get and stick with the AR...

Where are you getting your MRR accuracy reports from? All I've seen is that the 18" models aren't chrome lined and that will "improve accuracy" but there are no values given as to by how much more accurate they are.
