What buffer and spring to use

I don't see why you need a different weight other then the standard spec. Every Mil/LE unit in the world uses normal weight factory buffer springs. Are you buying a custom one from Wolff springs on something like that?

The only thing you must be aware of is if its for a pistol, carbine or rifle length buffer tube.
 
No I didn't know there was a standard.. when I looked it all had like h2 h1 etc.. I'll find a place that just sells the standard. Thanks for the info. Makes it way easier to buy a standard milspec.

Ohhhh your talking about the buffer and not the spring. Any weight will work for semi auto fire, Can't good wrong with ether HH or HHH though.

I do agree if you go with a 20" barrel, get the rifle length tube, spring and buffer. The carbine setup works fine but it's very front heavy.
