What buffer and spring to use

I don't see why you need a different weight other then the standard spec. Every Mil/LE unit in the world uses normal weight factory buffer springs. Are you buying a custom one from Wolff springs on something like that?

Ohhhh your talking about the buffer and not the spring. Any weight will work for semi auto fire, Can't good wrong with ether HH or HHH though.
I do agree if you go with a 20" barrel, get the rifle length tube, spring and buffer. The carbine setup works fine but it's very front heavy.
We carry several buffer weights and allow you to build a buffer tube / stock kits with any weight (3 oz , H, HH, HHH) you want so that you don't need to buy parts that you won't use.
