So much for the people saying they don't want a cartridge that close to their face because it's more dangerous lol.
When you've run out of things to buy, start trying to break the expensive things you've bought.
Pretty much well my thoughts as well. I still have some concern over an out of battery discharge with semi auto rifles however. That said I recently seen a rifle on Tavor owners group on Facebook that had just that happen and looks like it will be fully operational again with a few parts swapped out for fresh ones. Guy didn't even have scratch on him.

That was my first thought. Impressive engineering, but really, what a waste.

Willing to bet DT sponsored the parts cost here.
The entire barrel and bolt can be replaced in under 60seconds. No damage to the chassis only barrel extension and bolt head. Not sure I'd feel safe with my face next to THAT one after an over pressure like that, even after repairs
Yea most quality bolt guns like AI, Sako or Steyr will do the same... it's only the cheaper stuff you have to worry about.
Maybe... but my understanding is that ALL US offered bolt actions have to survive over pressures to around 120,000psi and are tested before the Lawyers let them out the door. Part of the proof pressure testing that all designs must/should undergo.
now this is to survive 1 firing at this silly level. Like crash testing cars, there is a level all consumer products must meet.
I think the DT faired better then most generic hunting rifles but don't kid yourself... US lawsuits expose millions of hunting actions vs a few semi custom rigs.
So where are the odds of greater risk to something really bad happening?
