Anschutz makes a nice gun. A friend uses one on gophers too. The one issue you might want to be aware of is that the chamber may be on the tight side, and Winchester Brass and in particular the 555, 333, 222 stuff is the on the large side. It makes a bad combination. He carries a cleaning rod to poke out the cases that stick in the barrel when he is out gopher hunting. My suggestion is to buy a micrometer that reads to the 1/10th of a thou, and measure you ammo before you buy any significant quantity. Cases close to 0.224 will be fine, but those up around 0.225 are a problem in his gun. My Savage will shoot them though. Canuck Tire puts micrometers on sale for cheap every so often. Good investment.
