Underrated pistols. What guns do you think not getting their due attention?

Big fan of my PPQ M1 Navy!! Accurate and reliable. I actually prefer the paddle mag release now that I'm used to it.

I have a M40A1 and quite like it too... the smoothest .40 I've shot, and I've shot many! I REALLY like the trapezoid sights.

I had a L9 but sold it. Didn't have the trapezoid sights and the trigger was gritty.

My brother picked up a PPX. Probably the best value pistol I've seen. It looks a little clunky, but it handles well, ergos are good, and stock trigger is great for the price.

Personally I am a 1911 and Sig fan, and all the guns mentioned above are all decent guns, I have at one point or another owned and enjoyed them all, but none of them are really underrated, they are all well north of $500.00 and you are getting what you pay for, but I have also been doing this for over 40 years and in my very extensive and vast experience I have to say that the most underrated guns available have to be the Norinco range, all cheap, all well reverse engineered clones of the originals, and all of them work well, they go bang every time, the more you run them the better they get, I have a couple that are nicely broken in that shoot circles around my SIG's with ease, I dumped all my custom $1000.00 plus Glocks and CZ's (But Not My SIG's) and have been using Norc 1911 TT Sport's, NP22's, 34's, and NZ85's for about the last three years, they are working so well that I don't even touch my high end guns anymore, 1911's, NP22's and DA762's are all giving me good center mass groups at 50 plus meters and with no FTF's or FTE's after hundreds of rounds down range on a days shoot, they take the beating and spare my over priced SIG's and 1911's the hammering I put them through, so reliable are they that if we were carriers, one of them would be my go too piece, they have to be the most underrated guns on the market, but that's just my 2 cents worth.

I had one a while back, I liked it a lot esp for what I paid it ($150) the problem with it is that they haven't been brought in for a number of years and ones coming up on EE have been listed for double the price. Which doesn't help with it being underrated, they're basically not even up for a rating if you cant get them.

Bought mine years ago with 3 extra mags for just over $200.00 and it's ran like a champ with many thousands of rounds fired. I'd buy another one in a heart beat if they were still available now at that price.

Good to hear. Just ordered my first pistol, NZ85B.

my vote is ruger....
ruger new semi-autos in centerfire and rimfire
the older models dcp89k, dcp90k.... even the p85
ruger revolvers.... gp100, redhawk, super redhawk, blackhawks, vaqueros etc....

everything ruger gets underrated.....

While they are revolvers not pistols, SW model 10s. Reliable and with superior DA and SA triggers to anything currently made.

This in spades. I finally scored one, a five inch version, and could not be happier. Gun is capable of outstanding accuracy. Shoots anything from 148gr to 200 gr bullets. The latter makes a healthy load for a lot of things that walk. Trigger is smooth as silk.

FN FiveseveN. Best pistol ever. Incredibly accurate, even out to 100m. Less recoil than a 9mm. Holds 20 or 30 rounds (except here of course). Light weight. And finally the ammo is becoming more available up here. It's a great backup pistol to the p90

I would be remiss in not mentioning Girsan. At under $500 for a gently used example they are hard to beat. Fit and finish is as good as I have seen on any pistol. If you are a Beretta fan or wanna be one, Girsan might be your answer.
