Would you sell your tavor to buy x-95?

Did I miss something ?

I thought we couldn't get the American Tavors in Canada and if we could get them the main selling point for the Tavor in Canada was its NR status and the American Tavors are not NR either. Dropping that much cash on a black rifle like a Tavor or similar only makes sense if it comes with the NR designation otherwise you could buy a great AR for less the half the price if you just wanted a restricted black rifle

The X95 is coming to Canada in NR status :).

If you're addressing my questions, those were asked in that way because all (well most) of what we have to go on are reviews of the X95 from the US.

You have missed a ton it seems. The last shipment of Israeli assembled TARs are on Canadian shelves as there is now an FRT for both the US SARs and x95s.

As such North Sylva is now importing the US SAR and x95 with 18.7" barrels starting in the new year.

I'd really like to see a back to back comparison between the 2 models.
Same ammo, same rate of fire, see how the x95 stacks up.

For me it seems you get a better trigger with a new body kit and Some crappier accuracy.
Not worth it unless you need the latest thing.

I think if you have an upgraded tavor it's not worth it. My tavor already has a handguard, curved buttpad, extra qd gasport, the $600 trigger upgrade. I don't see the x95 adding anything.

Tav-D
Geissele Lightning Bow
GHW port cover
IWI Bolt Parts Kit

all the same on the X95 so im upgrading rifle but keep all the MODS... :)

My two biggest complaints with the Tavor is the mag release (which is very usable, but not as user friendly as the x95), and the trigger. The x95 fixes both. I have owned a couple of Tavors in the past and sold them because of the trigger. I do miss them.

If I still had a Tavor, I would sell it for an x95.

The x95 is on my shopping list, but if people start selling Tavors at ridiculous prices to fund x95, I would suck up a Tavor, buy a Geissele trigger, and live happily ever after with the mag release

I'm shocked the RCMP approved the X-95 with supposed "gun grabbing legislation weeks away"..

I can see their line of thinking after the media starts reporting on "huge numbers of scary murder guns are being legally owned in Canada!" Then the RCMP states "We had to allow them in, they met the technical requirements! We had better change the laws to stop these terrifying killing machines of mass destruction!"

And that's how semi-auto ownership in Canada will be stopped.

P.s. - anyone got some more tinfoil? I think I need to add a few layers :)

Rolex watches are made to some of the highest standards in the world... They are not mil-spec.

The LSVW is the worst vehicle in the world... It is mil-spec.

The x95 is like any other non-mil spec rifle made in the states. There is nothing wrong with it.

My rain coat is "mil-spec" "genuine issue" what ever you want to call it. I get soaked after an hour in the rain.

Now that they have the golden key to the city, why not just say it's "too easily convert-able to full auto"? It's not like there's any accountability when they do that.

I might be air force, but I'm a Carpenter and attached with the engineers. I have yet to experience the air force check in policies. LoL
