Not as bad, but still there.
That's likely something to consider then, at least for me. OAL seems to be the same, it's just updated ergos and rails that make the X95 different? Am I in the ballpark or missing something here?

Did I miss something ?
I thought we couldn't get the American Tavors in Canada and if we could get them the main selling point for the Tavor in Canada was its NR status and the American Tavors are not NR either. Dropping that much cash on a black rifle like a Tavor or similar only makes sense if it comes with the NR designation otherwise you could buy a great AR for less the half the price if you just wanted a restricted black rifle

If it's available only in NR length then definitely no; in short restricted length then probably, unless I find a CTAR first.
I think if you have an upgraded tavor it's not worth it. My tavor already has a handguard, curved buttpad, extra qd gasport, the $600 trigger upgrade. I don't see the x95 adding anything.
I can't wait to get mine. I allready have a Manticore Arms curved buttpad on the way for it.
And yes I'm selling my Tavor for the X95.

I'm shocked the RCMP approved the X-95 with supposed "gun grabbing legislation weeks away"..

Rolex watches are made to some of the highest standards in the world... They are not mil-spec.
The LSVW is the worst vehicle in the world... It is mil-spec.
The x95 is like any other non-mil spec rifle made in the states. There is nothing wrong with it.
I can see their line of thinking after the media starts reporting on "huge numbers of scary murder guns are being legally owned in Canada!" Then the RCMP states "We had to allow them in, they met the technical requirements! We had better change the laws to stop these terrifying killing machines of mass destruction!"
And that's how semi-auto ownership in Canada will be stopped.
P.s. - anyone got some more tinfoil? I think I need to add a few layers![]()
My rain coat is "mil-spec" "genuine issue" what ever you want to call it. I get soaked after an hour in the rain.
Air force is Mil-Spec we wait for the rain to clear. No point on getting wet... LoL
