I use a burris AR-332 that I really like. It would have been great to go full blown with an eotech or the like, but the budget had already been blown after the geissele trigger upgrade.
Was the Geissele trigger upgrade worth the cost??

Wait until you get your Tavor and actually try different options.
Depending on size of your face, you might have some trouble with cheek-wield. There is a difference between AR and Tavor. Aim-point 1/3 lower co-witness mount gave me full co-witness on Tavor.
Your budget will really dictate the quality of glass you get. Everyone always likes to scream "elcan" right away but honestly, the price is way too high for most. Is it one of the best, sure it is. Is it necessary to spend that much for quality glass, no not at all.
My recommendation would be something in the 1-4 or 1-6 range. This type of glass lets you shoot CQB and long range.
Whats your budget?
I would say $500 max
That'ss why it annoys me when guys get on the horn and immediate tell you to get a 2,500$ elcan. For 500$, I would suggest looking into the Burris MTAC or Vortex Strike Eagle or for just a tiny bit more, a Leupold Mk AR 1-4. Keep in mind though that you will still need to buy a mount or rings. All the options I mentioned will serve you right.
Perhaps then the OP should state his/her budget up front. Then you won't get so "annoyed".
Vague questions deserve vague answers.

The Vortex Strike Eagle looks like a great option to me, particularly for predator hunting. Would I need a riser as well, or will rings be adequate??
