Who has a Hatsan escort mpa ts?

My bud has one. Pretty good for the $. You need to run high velocity ammo through them to be reliable. The mechanism on the loading gate is a little awkward IMHO. It certainly is no Versamax nor Benelli M4, but it's a LOT less $$ too!

I want to stick with a Semi, my current one is giving me issues that dont seem to resolve. But they get pricey fast, Really liking the Beretta 1301 Tac, I see some used M4's coming up for a good price too, 3 of my good shooting buddies are all running versamax's and I dont want to be the 4th. These being 1/5 the price I was curious about reliability. Hi velocity ammo get pricey after awhile too. Decisions Decisions

I got one. Love it, you have to run high fps stuff 1400+ for it to cycle properly, and I pulled the bird cage and added the door breacher and a magazine extension, it shots so well I can put slug's in 5 inch group @ 100 meters and the wife is comfortable with shooting it and she hates shotties.

Agree on the loading gate.

Mine works for me with all ammo...target to slugs...however it will not feed light loads when my son fires it. Something to do with grip or weight behind butt pad I suspect. The loading gate comments should not be ignored either...it's not the best design.

I have had mine for 2 years and have roughly 400 rounds through it - slugs, buck, #4,6,7.5,9 shot. Not a single issue ever.
This past weekend, put 100 rounds of federal #7.5 (Walmart value pack) through it shooting skeets, ran like a champ with 3 different shooters - including a couple 7 round mag dumps!

I picked up one about a year ago, and have put close to 1000 rounds through it. Not a single problem with it. I have shot a variety of ammo, from target loads to slugs, and haven't had one issue. Very impressed with this gun for the price. My buddy put over 500 rounds through his without cleaning. He shot two cases of Challenger target loads, and not one failure.

I swapped out the factory stock for an aftermarket one - prefer the comb of the replacement stock, and the factory stock had a slight rattle to it I didn't like. Then went a bit overboard with the BBQ paint. The pic is from right after the pain job. It's a bit more "worn in" now and darkened up a bit.

I've had it a couple years now, used it in 3-gun matches where we're limited to target loads (for safety reasons), run a few thousand rounds through it of everything from light target, heavy game, OO Buck, HV Slugs, and it's just eaten everything I've thrown at it.

Very, very happy with it.

I will say that not everyone I've talked to has had the same luck, so YMMV, but in general, the majority of people who get them seem to be happy with them and have had a good experience.

For 3-gun, the biggest drawback is - as mentioned - the gate when you're loading. That weird two-part gate/lock takes a bit of getting used to.

Mine didn't like some cheap loads at first, polishing the outside of the mag tube where the piston runs when cycling solved that issue.
I think I used gun oil and some 400 emery cloth.
I also smoothed out the loading gate/lifter a bit with a file to make it smoother to load.

The rear sight is flimsy and on mine needs to be adjusted higher then I would like to get on target at short range.
