A question for you (actual, not wanna-be) Desert Tech SRS owners out there:
1. If you had to make the purchase decision all over again, would you go with the full-length SRS A1 or with the Covert?
2. The Desert Tech site states that all of the barrel conversions (including the 26" .338 LM) fit both the SRS A1 and the Covert. Have any Covert owners experienced any issues with the longer barrels?
3. For longer-range shooting (600m +) from a bench and from prone position, are there any functional drawbacks to the shorter Covert chassis? Is the bipod placement too close? The Desert Tech site states that the length-of-pull is identical with the same number of spacers in the buttpad - is this true? Any other issues to consider.
Thanks! I've always found the CGN Forums to be a great source of pragmatic information, and has helped me to avoid the subtle "gotchas" before I pull the trigger (figuratively) on a new purchase.
