I took my brand new Stoeger out to the range today for the first time and it had some problems. I had broken it down, cleaned it, removed all the grease, and oiled it as per the manual before firing.
I ran 10 Federal low recoil slugs through it and it performed flawlessly (high brass). I then ran a box of Winchester 7.5 and I had about a 40% FTF rate. (I didn't have the recoil reducer in the stock installed)
I've heard that this shotgun doesn't like low brass but I was wondering if there was maybe a break in period? Should I run a box of full power slugs through it and try the low brass again or just bite the bullet and buy high brass target loads? I bought this shotgun specifically for 3 gun.
