The part that chokes me is that there is no differentiation with what they term ATV. On an standard quad where there is no 5 point safety harness or roll bars a helmet makes sense, same as a motor cycle. But in an enclosed steel cage, held in place by a 5 point harness , what gain could possibly exist?
By Canadian motor vehicle standards this should be classed as highway legal. Yet it is only possible to register it as a OHV.
In the USA I can drive it on the highways as there it is considered an automobile due it having all of the requisite things such as signal lights, wipers, horn etc.
I doubt that the morons who run this province have given the slightest bit of thought to side by sides and any other vehicle that have been lumped in to the ATV catch all.
