We cannot find a supplier for the A1 furniture

Can the Chinese not pump those suckers out by the thousands? Not sure why they bothered to build rather accurate A1 clones before, and yet neglected to go the distance with furniture while spending the time to design their own handguards. IIRC they had an original A1 to copy.

I'd be down for at least a few sets of decent reproduction A1 furniture kits.

Not sure if its been suggested yet, but would a "Stripped" version be possible? That being, a rifle that doesn't have any furniture, no handguard, grip, stock, and maybe a low profile gas block, no sights, etc etc, since those are all things most people are going to replace anyways?

Because they weren't building A1 clones for collectors, they were making M16-pattern rifles for countries the Americans wouldn't sell to. While hideous, the ribbed handguards were probably decided to be more practical and the buttstock looks better for bayonet fighting as if that happened often enough to matter.

I was just thinking if your going to have several made in the 18 inch barrel length why don't you just make them 18.5 inches long ? maybe someone who gets elected in the future will be a long time shooter and abolish this bs that we can only take these rifles to a range . heck I remember the days when I used to have an AR 15 and I used to shoot ground hogs with it . and with A2 sights on them please.

I'm not into all this Picanty rail stuff and specialty sights . sorry to say but on some things I like old school looks not some space age looking thing.

The new da556 is us made. Yes the chinese could make them. Tooling cost for all the molds and dies would run about $150k US, so likely nearly double the cost of the rifles given our small market.
