Anybody disappointed in the Shadow 2?

if you find the checkering on the front or back straps too aggressive, shoot it more, you'll eventually get nice calluses, mine are going through their 4th or 5th shedding right now lol

Finally got mine in the mail waited for the blue/black, not the biggest fan of the angled slide and the trigger is not a like the urban grey I handled in store that had short travel and a clean break, mine is more like a sponge with no defined break. Which sucks as the urban grey trigger is what sold me on a shadow 2 over a sp01

There's a bit more takeup than I was expecting and there's a little bit of gritty feel to the trigger. I did a bit of polishing when I did a full strip last weekend but missed a couple key spots otherwise, the polishing and lighter hammer spring did help a lot.

That frontstrap checking is bit aggressive and I think a 25lpi or even 30lpi would have been more comfortable if shooting all day. I'll find out when I finally get to shoot her. Reg papers only came in on Friday.

Ordered mine last night. The all black are flying off the shelves it seems. Still debating if i should do a comparison video over the summer versus the shadow and tanfo stock 3.

Oh, please do!

People need to remember they are shipping these guns dialed in the same way they ship the Shadows, these are not Shadow2mates or anything. So with heavy springs, no fine polishing or anything like that, overtravel screw is backed right off as well. A wee bit of tuning and adjustment of the screw and you have a gun that will give you a far better trigger than a Shadow ever will.

****Hi-Jacking alert*** I like the design of the Shadow, but I'm a .45 guy...who deals with the CZ line in Canada, or more directly, where can I get a 97B ?

Good stuff. Unfortunately it'll be a long wait. My idea is to get some ipsc trigger time behind each gun. For the presentation i was thinking mrgunsandgear and s00tch style where the camera is focused on the gun and not on my face. I want to go through as much about each gun as possible (sights, trigger, maintenance, features, price, etc). I also want to film running simple drills at the action range (target transitions, reloads, etc). It will probably end up being 60min long. If you guys want to help out in terms of being a 2nd presenter maybe, or be a camera man, or help with the video edit, etc. I'm all ears. The current lineup will be the p09, shadow, shadow 2, and tanfo stock 3.
