When I ordered the SAI/Boyds walnut stock (complete), it was $260 plus extra costs. At the time, the max amount for Canadians was $500. I don't know if it's changed since.
Ok thanks. I'll check with them when the time comes.

Wolverine will have a butt load of usgi wood stock and handguard sets for 75 bucks come friday.
They removed it today or something wrong with my eyes.
A Boyd's stock with hardware is available from brownelles. $250 USD
The value of a Nork take-off is around $50....
There is great value in purchasing a Boyd's finished stock for $150 and adding the hardware from your Chinese plastic stock.

New to the gun game, but after going back and forth between wood and synthetic, I got a Boyd's walnut stock for my M305. After some minor fitting and refinishing with pure tung oil, I am so glad I settled on wood. The rifle is beautiful! It is also pretty heavy, but I'm not complaining. (Photo was before refinishing)

Until I can afford a new stock, I'm stuck with the synthetic my 18.5" Norc came with. I really hate the greasy/slick feel of that stock, so I put on a strip of grip tape on each side of the stock. It's still ugly, but much more functional now.
Those of you with the Archangel stock- happy with it? Issues?
I have an archangel on my m305.
It's a great stock for the money, I noticed a slight accuracy increase with it over the Chinese stock, however I also am not a good shot, and I shoot Norc ammo through it.
Keep in mind that it is made to fit an M1A, not an M305. you WILL need to file a relief into the top of the stock for the back corner of the receiver.
The ergonomics are wonderful. It fits your hand well, and has good length of pull and cheek rest adjustment.
PROS:
- Cost
- Ergonomics
- Looks pretty decent
- Good adjustment for length of pull/cheek rest.
CONS:
- Fit and finish, it looks "cheaper" than JAE, RS, etc, obviously, as it's plastic.
- Modifications required to fit M305.
- The cheek riser becomes slightly unstable at the very last few clicks of upward adjustment. (hasn't been a problem for me)
Here's a gallery of the filing I had to do to make my M305 fit: http://imgur.com/a/tVWQU
Thanks for this- I missed it and only came across it today. Good to know about the cheek riser, but I do like the LOP adjustability. I have long arms, and most guns feel waay too short in the butt.
Oddly, though- I've been getting excellent results from my Chinese synthetic, so I'm going to live with it for now.
