Canadian Tire subs. stop selling fur

Fake fur is made from coal and petroleum, which causes Global Warming, which will cause agonizing death for every animal on Earth over the next unspecified period of time.
Canadian Tire is clearly pro-Trump, and is probably going to call its customers apes in heels any day now, on the technical pretext that humans are apes, and many people wear shoes in winter. Sickening.
Your left leaning foibles are on public display Killary supporter.

Smithers CT just expanded their hunting section dramatically ( Just as hunting season ended, go figure). There are about ten Deer head mounts above the counter, all kinds of gear. So that is Sport Chek and Marks that are doing this?? Anybody else?? I know where I will not be spending any money.

I was at Atmosphere the other day and noticed they had only the Canada Goose models with no fur trim. ...which I was also surprised by. I didn't know Canada Goose had so many models of winter coats without fur. Are they giving into the pressure as well? I also suppose them being stuffed with Goose down is fine? But fur trim is bad? Jeepers.

I won't be going back any time soon.

I wonder if they are going to pull a bunch of the Mepps fishing lures? http ://www.mepps.com/programs/squirrel-tail/

Just received a reply from Can Tire, they are standing by the decision of their affiliate company's decision to no longer carry any products containing fur.
I can longer financially support this company or any of it's affiliates with a clear conscious. It is very unfortunate but I will vote with my wallet.

Crappy tire could actually disappear tomorow morning and would not be missed. Heck I cant remember the last time I set foot in a that place.

Heck everything you need for Vehicles you can get cheaper from Amazon or Lordco, Mastercraft tools fall in the same category as Norico, it's just cheaply made garbage.

If you're going to claim you've never shopped at Canadian tire, I will call you out on that one... :)
I shop there often, they are Homo friendly! Not sure about Pongo, Pan and Gorilla, but they sell Gorilla glue, so probably OK. They also sell Pans, 75% off.
My brother looks like a Neanderthal, he doesn't like CT because they take his backpack, but Neanderthal are Homo too.

Did you see the prices on the Tikka Clearance in the store? I'm going to be making more trips to Smithers. :)

Really guys....fur is waay to classy and expensive for the average Canadian tire shoppers and their other outlets. With that said though,,they drew the line in the sand and so will I as a fur taker.

I emailed them a good size letter....hope everyone else that is concerned with all outdoor hunting activities voices their displeasure. Ive heard they are currently going hard after the fishing depths in all stores now which doesn't surprise me.

Cheers!!

This is old news.

Two store chains, Sport Chek and Atmosphere, which are part of the Forzani Group (FGL) limited made the decision well over a year ago not to carry any products that were produced or contained natural fur in response to criticism by some of their patrons. Atmosphere in particular caters to the Latte drinkers that strap their kevlar kayak's on top of their eco-diesel cars while wearing the namebrand outdoor wear but don't venture beyond cell phone range and don't dare take their pretty cars on gravel roads for fear of stone chips.

FGL was bought by Canadian Tire Corp back in 2011 and while owned by the Corporation is still a separate subsidiary with their own supply chain/logistics.

This story (about the fur) has just recently resurfaced and the Corporation sent a memo to all the Canadian Tire stores stating that the FGL policy would not extend to Canadian Tire stores which have been seen as Canada's "national" fishing and hunting retailer for decades.

Hunting and Fishing sales account for somewhat over 15% of our store sales - without those sales the store would not be profitable and would probably be forced to close. I suspect many CTC stores not in our three largest cites might well be in the same situation - they need hunting/fishing class product sales to stay in business.

How silly are the PETA people (I ask rhetorically)? Well it seems Canadian polymer money (those plastic bills) are made with 2% glue, and that glue is made from animal cartilage. So the PETA people are demanding an end to Canada producing 'corpse' money.
