Ontario Outdoors card

On Dec 8 2016 I renewed my outdoor card on line and bought the 3 year small game and 3 year fishing licence. The web site is hard to use but it does work just go slow and read all the instructions carefully. My card arrived on Dec 20. Check your new card over carefully the MNR failed to put the "T" for turkey on the new card! They did this on my to friends cards also. I'll be phoning the ministry today to find out why.

Turkey license is now included as part of the hunters safety course (Effective January). Anyone with small game and a turkey tag can hunt them. T's are no longer printed on the cards.

We took a lot of toms off public land... and there was very little competition.
 
The system sucks. I went in and renewed 3yrs, no issues. My wife went to do hers and it would only let her do 1yr. and didn't offer her a fishing license option.
She's going to try it again later, or phone it in. Damned Liberals set up this stupid system, and it never has been right.

Make sure she has the "next year" radio button selected.

I never had a problem renewing mine. Maybe you should just go to Service Ontario.

yes .. thanks for the reminder -- just did mine online ... which also gets you access to a 'Temporary' paper license till the plastic one arrives ... not available if you do it by phone. It is more than a little confusing ... 'apparently' (I say apparently because thats what I was required to do) you have to purchase an Outdoors card and then you have to purchase the 3 yr Small Game 'license' (or whatever it is called) ... so effectively there are two separate charges... it isnt intuitive thats for sure....

If you add the Outdoors card to the cart first, then choose continue shopping, you can do it all in one.

That's the way I did mine once I figured out their system. Clever of them, eh as that way they can get you for 2 transaction charges and another one as well if your under 65 and need a fishing license.

Having said all that, I applied for the renewal on 13 Dec and the new card showed up in the mail today so only 9 days total...

well I did it one transaction..BUT I bought an Outdoors Card (for under 10bucks) which apparently does nothing...then the next charge is for the 3 year small game license then the next charge is the 'service fee'. So three seperate charges/line items on one invoice to my visa....seems too GD complicated!!


AND I really object to the F'ing 'service fee' as I did all the GD work completing the paperwork!!! GD Liberals!!!!

I just received mine in the mail and noticed that there is no "T" in it to indicate I have completed a turkey hunters course. It has been on my card since I took the course 16 years ago. Does anyone know if they just make it part of the small game licence now?
