I don't care about the handguard, I will put what I want on it. I would prefer it be cheap so I don't feel bad throwing it away, and keep the cost down.
Flat top is must. I would pay now for one in 7.62x39.
Stripped upper and lower would be nice too.

Furniture should be cheap as hell to cut costs. Most people will just customize anyway.

Concur. I'd love a U.S. built semi-affordable M16A4. It needs either a quad rail or the ribbed US furniture though. I'd even be OK with an A2 upper if that was necessary.

Having the lowers marked M16 would be pretty sweet too.

Melonite is a good way to save costs and still deliver excellent quality.
223 Wylde is good, twist rate? 1/8 is the best all round performer.
FF forend? Uh oh, are these going to have a fixed FSB? I sure hope so.

I know that a lot of people like low pro gas blocks these days and there is nothing wrong with that. The issue is that for those of us that prefer a fixed FSB it isn't easy to add one if it's not there from the start. Making it a no go for a lot if us but a gas block is easy to add for those that want them.
